You will find archery programs for people of different age range from the Archery’s Explore Archery or Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) programs for children from age 8, Olympic Games for adults and the Outdoor Nationals and national and international Senior Games tournaments for those in their 70s and 80s.
- ENJOY IN EVERY KIND OF WEATHER
Archery is a year-round sport, allow players to play indoors during winter (October through March), with archers shooting targets at 18 meters and outdoor during summer season which kicks off in April, with shooting targets at 20 to 70 meters, depending on age group and equipment type.
- MANY CHANCES TO JOIN TOURNAMENTS
Wherever in the world, it is easy to find archery tournaments competing at local, state or national levels – and the sport is interesting enough that national tournaments are competitive but not too overwhelming.
- STRICTLY RECREATIONAL
If you prefer something recreational rather than competitive, archery is the one that lets you go at your own pace, whether enjoy it for exercise, or just for fun with friends.
- YOU CAN ATTEND THE OLYMPICS OR PARALYMPICS
Archery is an Olympic and Paralympic sport, so anyone having an Olympic or Paralympic dream can have their chance although it takes hundreds of thousands of practice, serious dedication and natural talent. Still, the potential is there.
- YOU CAN PLAY MULTIPLE GAMES
You can choose either shooting multicolored bull’s-eye targets across a field, 3D archery which lets you shoot at three-dimensional foam animals in a wooded course, or field archery with shoot indoors or outdoors at paper targets with outdoor field targets on a roving course at distances of 80 yards!
